Major construction projects continue to fuel the top tier firms, which is driving demand for construction and major projects lawyers at all levels from the top tiers.

Generally speaking though, the market still has very strong demand for Senior Associate and Special Counsel level Corporate/Commercial Lawyers, Commercial Litigation Lawyers and Family Lawyers, however there are talent shortages at the Senior Associate levels, which is causing salaries to rise, as firms fight hard for the very best talent in the market.

We are also seeing in the market many corporate/commercial lawyers from Associate level to Partner level seizing opportunities to move in house, as there is a lot of in-house positions that have come onto the market in the last few months, from global technology companies, to hospitality and construction companies, who are paying at the very top end of the market.
